NEWS:
May 25, 2006

Some interestingly exciting news I just discovered! Was doing some reading last night about The Super Mario Bros. Super Show on Wikipedia and discovered that DiC finally released the series onto DVD! You can check it out yourself at Amazon.com! I've already ordered my copy! :-) Also, while you're there... You can also get the Legends of Zelda: The Complete Animated Series which played every Friday in place of the Super Mario Bros. cartoon.

The shows would have a live section at the beginning and end of every show in 1989 with Captain Lou Albano playing as Mario Mario, and Danny Wells playing as Luigi Mario. In the center of every show was a cartoon based on the Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2 video games, Mondays through Thursdays. Fridays they would still have the live show at the beginning and end, but they would play The Legend of Zelda in place of the Super Mario Bros.

Welcome back! This website is getting a major makeover! After a year of nothing, and due to last week's lost of services I recieved for free for the polls, I have decided to revamp the website and make this place better!

These are ideas I plan to work on for the #ClassicGamer website:

  • Convert from HTML 4.00/4.01 to XHTML 1.0
  • Work on the website design
  • Add more content
I will not specify exactly what kind of content I will provide here, for I don't want to dig myself into a lot of work I cannot complete due to my schedule already. I assure you though that it will be classic gaming (a.k.a. retro gaming or "old school" gaming).

Thankyou for visiting the website and please come back again soon!

I apologize for bringing this column out so late in the month! Like most Americans, I have been watching the news about what has happened September 11, 2001.  There isn't a whole lot new this month for #ClassicGamer website.  The Nintendo Game Cube will be released to the United States November 18th now, not the previously scheduled November 5th date. The Microsoft XBox however continues to hold its Noveber 8th release this year.
